Hello Dustin's,
Just wanted to share some pics of Cash's first beach trip. Omg! He is having a blast this weekend. He can't get over all the birds flying around. He's been staring at the sky since we arrived. Its hilarious! He wants to get those birds soooo bad!
He also couldn't stand that the older boys where playing football and frizbie on the beach without him. But once he joined the ball was shortly deflated and he had it all to himself. Haha
He's smart enough not to try and drink the salt water, unlike most dogs I've brought to the beach.
He is just so awesome...
Last weekend we where in Kansas. We took him hunting for shed antlers.
We have been working on that at home and he finally got to put it to good use. He did well and had a great time.
He is spoiled rotten! We just LOVE the Baaaabyyyy!!!

I want to tell you that we have the most intelligent puppy I've ever seen!!!
He had is first vet check with us and everything is ok, and he had is vaccines.
Thank you again, for that wonderful puppy!!!
I joined you a picture of him. It was on the first week-end we had him, on October first.
We went hunting for couple of hours, and let him sleep in the truck.
When we had finished we went to get him and
he was so happy to be in the field and wanted to help us take back our Canadian geese to the truck!!!
He had is first trip in a boat and went in the water, last week-end!
We love him so much and he loves us very much, too!!!

hello Shawn and Janet!
this is duane. shay's is doing well and he went out on his first hunt this weekend. His first retrieve was a snow goose and he carried it with ease. i got all choked up. i was proud of him. he made 6 other retrieves. He's going to be the best hunting partner. thanks again. duane p.s. hears some pics.

Hey Shawn and Janet,
I hope all is going well for you guys and you are getting out and doing some hunting yourselves.
Here is a picture of Stella’s first goose. It fell about 30 yards out in the Missouri on a windy day and she didn’t hesitate at all. She’s a dream bird dog! It seems like she just knows what to do, whether it be with birds or bumpers or whatever. She’s now 9 months old and already has 6 retrieves on game birds.
Stella’s also a great family dog. Thanks so much for all you did!

Here is a picture of Stella’s first goose. It fell about 30 yards out in the Missouri on a windy day and she didn’t hesitate at all. She’s a dream bird dog! Our family purchased a puppy from you in 8/2003 (one of Kids offspring). Her name is Kylie Girl and she has become the greatest 4 legged child ever! She is doing great and continues to thrive as a member of our family. At the time we brought Kylie home we lived in Mather (Sacramento area). Some how we ended up moving to Yuba City in 2004. Now when we pass South Butte Road we remind our children...that was where Kylie was born...

Went to the local decoy show, puppy retrieving contest. 2 retrieves, about 60yds- 1 land one blind water retrieve. She was the youngest one by months! She took 3rd!!

Just got back this last Monday from Maryland for the 2011 Master National. The chessie that you sold me 5+ years ago qualified for the MN this year with 7 master passes in a row. We went to Maryland and he got through all the series and qualified!
Just wanted to say that I am so pleased with him. To me, he is the dog of a lifetime. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought my huntin dog would take me clear across the country!
If you have a female that you want to breed him to let me know. He's from your stock and carries your name also.

Teddy & Gunner
Hello Janet and Shawn,
Just wanted to pass on a couple of photos of Teddy at 7 months. We took Teddy and our lab puppy Gunner on our annual camping trip to Tioga Lake (just outside of Yosemite) for a week of hiking and fishing. We were a little unsure of how they would do, but both were terrific and great off leash on our hikes.
Not surprisingly, we can't keep Ted out of the water and he was in heaven with the mountain lakes to jump in. He truly is a retriever of all things and my husband Steve is looking forward to starting him on more formal training - in fact we just got Shawn Dustin's DVD and Steve is going to start working with both dogs this weekend.
Teddy is a good little hiker too - and as you can see he is kind enough to wait for me to catch up. He's very attached to us (my husband in particular), but is fine meeting new people but not overly excited as our lab puppy is. We're having a great time with him and he seems to have settled in with us quite well. We still think he has some growing to do; he's about 70lbs now but he's not grown into his huge paws I think, but we will see.
In any event, hope both of you and your families are well (including Teddy's parents!); we'll keep you updated on how Ted is doing.
