AKC Labrador Retrievers

Dustin Retrievers has been breeding AKC Labrador Retrievers from proven field bloodlines since 1989. Our Labs are raised in Sutter, California and Twin Bridges, Montana — two locations that give us year-round access to water, birds, and real field conditions from day one. We breed Yellows, Chocolates, and Blacks with exceptional temperament, drive, and retrieving instinct. Whether you're looking for a serious hunting partner, a Hunt Test competitor, or just a great family dog with natural ability, our puppies are built for it. Deposits are accepted for upcoming litters — call or text to get on the list.

CALIFORNIA LITTER

Current Available Litters

Boss X Lily

We're excited about this pairing because it combines two outstanding temperaments with proven hunting genetics.

Boss is a big, blocky-headed Labrador with an incredibly loving personality. His favorite place is by your side, whether that's going for a walk, spending the day at the lake, or relaxing with the family. While Boss enjoys the outdoors and likes the water, his greatest strength is his calm, affectionate nature, making him an exceptional family companion.

Lily comes from an outstanding hunting pedigree and brings plenty of drive and enthusiasm to everything she does. She's always ready for the next adventure and loves having a job to do, but she's still a well-balanced dog that's enjoyable to live with. Her puppies have consistently shown the natural drive, intelligence, and trainability that make excellent hunting companions while also developing into loyal family dogs.

We expect this litter to produce versatile Labradors with the potential to become dependable family gun dogs—dogs that have the drive to hunt when it's time to work and the temperament to settle in with the family when the day is done. If you're looking for a Labrador with natural ability, a great personality, and the versatility to be both a hunting companion and a loyal family dog, this litter is one you won't want to miss.

Bogie JH X Marley

We're excited about this pairing because it combines a proven hunting retriever with a calm, easygoing family companion. This cross will produce well-rounded Labrador Retrievers that are just as comfortable in the duck blind as they are curled up at home with the family.

Bogie JH is an AKC Junior Hunter titled Labrador with an incredible passion for retrieving. Whether it's bumpers, birds, or a day in the field, Bogie is always ready to go. He has the natural drive, marking ability, and desire to work that make him a fun and dependable hunting partner, while still being biddable and eager to please.

Marley is a calm, affectionate female with an excellent temperament. She has a wonderful "off switch" and is the type of dog that's content to relax with the family after a day of activity. Her easygoing personality, combined with her intelligence and loving nature, makes her the kind of Labrador people enjoy living with every day.

This litter will produce versatile family gun dogs with plenty of natural retrieving ability, strong trainability, and balanced temperaments. These puppies should have the drive to hunt when it's time to work, but also the ability to settle down and be exceptional family companions when the day is over. If you're looking for a Labrador that can spend the morning in the field and the evening on the couch with the family, we believe this litter will be an outstanding fit.
