Shaun and Melissa have had a passion for dogs and training for years. Located in Sutter, California at Dustin Retrievers, they take pride in working closely with each dog and owner to help build a strong foundation both at home and in the field.

From obedience training for all breeds to waterfowl and upland gun dog training, they focus on creating reliable, well-rounded dogs while keeping training enjoyable and productive. Situated in the heart of some of Northern California’s premier waterfowl country, their dogs train on rice fields and a variety of real-world hunting environments that help build confidence, experience, and consistency in the field.

Shaun and Melissa understand that every dog is different and work hard to bring out the best in each one. Whether it’s improving obedience, manners in public, with frequent trips to parks and neighborhoods, or preparing a dog for hunting situations, they are committed to providing honest, dependable training and care while treating every dog like part of the family.
